Naarm/Melbourne based sound artists Ai Yamamoto and Dan West began collaborating together during 2020 in the breaks between lockdown and online. Together, their captivating audio visual performances are full of beautiful melodies, glitchy rhythms and ambient textures created from analogue synthesisers and real time processing of field recordings, piano, strings and guitar. Inspired by the sights and sounds they collect and create, Dan and Ai’s compositions are roadmaps for thematic audio visual experimentation in performance. Join Ai and Dan as they transform Japanese bakery Little Cardigan into an immersive performance space especially for BMF and perform material from their forthcoming debut album slated for release mid 2023 on Dan’s label Audible Artefacts.
