Blak Stage, the longest running First Nations Open Mic night in the Kulin Nations, takes place at The Retreat Hotel every Tuesday night, with an array of incredible First Nations talent gracing the stage each week. Hosted by Deadly Events, emerging and established mob are invited to come down and take the stage to share: sing, dance, poetry, comedy… everything! With a special guest headline act soon to be announced for this year’s Brunswick Music Festival. While BLAK STAGE is exclusive for First Nations artists, the space is not – everyone is welcome to come down and show their support. Free entry!

Brunswick Music Festival acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Merri-bek, and pays respect to their Elders past and present, and to all First Nations people and communities. BMF embraces their traditional and contemporary cultural and creative expression and significant contribution to life in the area.
